De_arctic is set in northern Alaska along one of the major oil pipelines where Northern Petrol refines and ships out most of its product. This is a vital point to the company as well as the entire region. If an attack on this plant were to succeed, it could stop production indefinitely, thus bring the region's industry to a devastating halt.
